I have harvested a few deer over the years but I owe my 2006 130s" mainframe 8 to Whitetail Consulting, Inc.
I hunt my cousin's farm and he recently had Whitetail Consulting, Inc. come from Green Bay to Marengo, IA to help with his deer management. What a difference it has made! My cousin, Brian, had me sit in a new stand
location and said the wind was perfect for that setup. After 2 hours on stand I had at least ten does, fawns and immature bucks walk within 12 to 15 yards. Finally, at 8:45am a nice 3 1/2 year buck came by and gave me a
chip shot. It is all thanks to Whitetail Consulting!

Whitetail Consulting did it again! Chris set me up on a great little interior funnel where I was able to slip in arrow on my biggest deer to date, a 186" beast.
It's great to know ahead of time going into the stand what is Oil your property so you can pass the little ones without thinking that there is nothing else out there.
I had several scouting pictures of this buck too which makes the hat-vest just that much more satisfying.
I can't wait until the spring when Whitetail Consulting comes back down to put in my food plots for the first time.
There are two deer bigger than the one I harvested left! Thanks Chris and thanks Whitetail Consulting, Inc. for- a dream season.-Josh S. Cedar Rapids, IA

In 2006 I was determined to get on the BIG bucks I know roam my land.
I was talking to my neighbor that just moved in about a service to help with deer management and hunters harvest more deer. He said that the guy, was actually going to be down to his farm the following week so I asked if I could piggy back on his services.
We split the cost of the mileage and made it cheaper for the both of us. What a difference it was to have someone look at my land who has harvested mature bucks year after year.
They just know where I see deer all the time but also see things I haven't ever noticed.
After two days of scouting and hanging stands we were set. The first deer I arrowed was nice 130" eight.
During gun season I went to an area that Whitetail Consulting had said to stay out of "until the time was right".
I did what they said and harvested my, best gun deer to date, a main frame 10 that goes in the 180s".
Next spring Chris will be down putting in food plots and working the land more.
He also will be putting in something I have never heard of or thought of, bedding areas.
My land needs a sanctuary and more bedding areas to hold more deer. I can't wait to see how that affects the deer movement over the next few years.

I am by trade a junior/senior high schoolteacher with very little time to enjoy, my true passion of hunting. Over the summer of 2006 I happened to gain access to a few hundred acres of prime Iowa deer habitat. With all of my coaching duties, and not to mention family obligations, I contacted Whitetail Consulting, Inc. The owner is an
old friend who actually helped me take my first buck with a bow some 20 years ago from his parent's farm in Northwest Iowa. I had Chris come down from Wisconsin and set the table for me. In two days of hard scouting and analyzing he had the entire piece of property, ready to be set with stands. I must say when we walked the property I never saw all of the funnels and break lines until Chris pointed them out to me. Another day was left to set stands and scout, which was great because I learned there was an abundance of 130 class bucks on the property but no monsters (yet). When the opener rolled around in October I was able to play the wind and hunt a stand hung by Chris, it was awesome. I collected my second best buck to date with my bow. I would
recommend Whitetail Consulting, Inc. to anyone who wants to see more deer and then harvest more deer. Whitetail Consulting, Inc. will be helping manage the farm I hunt now for more and bigger bucks in the future, you can't argue with success.

Where are all the BIG bucks? I had been hunting a large part of public ground in the western part of Wisconsin with my family and friends for the past fifteen years and we had only harvested one mature buck in that time.
We know the bucks are there but we don't see a lot of deer and the bucks we do see are 1 1/2 bucks.
I heard of a service from a friend about a company specializing in helping hunters "Experience the Success", and what I was looking for was success.
I figured that if this service could work on private land why not public lands. After a brief phone conversation I hired Whitetail Consulting, Inc. to help me harvest a mature buck in 2006.
Chris spent one solid day scouting the deer woods where I hunt, finding numerous funnels and break lines that I had never seen or noticed before.
He narrowed the woods down to three ideal stand locations and had me pick the spot I liked the best based on the wind conditions.
On opening day I saw more deer then I had seen in five years but not the buck that left the truck hood sized scrape located fifty yards up wind.
The second day of gun season I caught movement up by the scrape, by the smell of the rutting buck I could tell he was the dominant buck in the area, and after a couple short blasts on the grunt tube I harvested the best buck of my hunting career and off of public land!
I plan to hire Whitetail Consulting, Inc. again next year to do a more extensive analysis and scout for a true wall hanger with their trail monitoring system. I can't wait!
